The original LSRC website, whilst cutting-edge in its day, has started to look a little tired over recent years. It has also struggled to accommodate the increasing volume of LSRC outputs. With the number of hits on the LSRC website now exceeding over 250,000 each year, the decision was therefore made to update the website, to make it more appealing, easier to navigate, and more functional. The changes to the website will not be complete until the Spring of 2010, but in the meantime visitors will be able to enjoy the benefits of a clearer layout, improved navigation, a site-wide search facility and greatly increased content. By the end of the changes, the website will include online mailing list facilities, online tools (enabling easy access to some of the data collected for LSRC projects) and a new look publications section (which will soon be seeing the inclusion of streaming media, in addition to traditional texts). While the website is in its ‘beta’ phase, the LSRC would welcome any feedback that you might have.
