Users’ Perspectives on Criminal Defence Services
This study included a survey of almost 1,000 people who had been drawn into the criminal justice system. There were 212 interviews in police stations and 767 in magistrates’ courts. Respondents were asked if they understood what was happening in the criminal process and also about their choice of a solicitor.
